Thin patterned discs of chocolate, in a small square gift box. There are 100g of thins, usually 10 to 12 discs in a box.
The white chocolate that we use is made by a company called Luker, based in Colombia. They use undeodorised cocoa butter from fine cacao beans for this chocolate, and the chocolate has high levels of cocoa butter, which means less sugar and the cocoa butter retains natural flavour from the bean. Charlotte infuses summer elderflowers, picked on the south shore of Loch Tay, and the delicate flavour of the flowers works beautiful with the delicate floral notes in the chocolate.
Java single origin milk chocolate is characteristically pale in colour and rich in flavour. Lots of caramel and cream. The smoked salt works beautifully with this chocolate; the salt cutting the sweetness, and then enhancing the natural flavours of the chocolate. The smokiness is in the background and adds depth to the flavours.
